THRESHOLD To Headline SUMMER'S END FESTIVAL

UK progressive metallers THRESHOLD will headline the opening night of this year's Summer's End Festival. The event will take place September 26-28 at The Hall, Lydney, Gloucestershire, England.

British progressive rock bands IQ and FROST will headline the second and third nights of the festival. One-, two- or three-day tickets will be available and there are no age restrictions. More details including further bands, ticket sales, accommodation, and sponsorship packages will be released very soon.

THRESHOLD recently announced a number of festival performances for 2008, including headline slots at Minnuendo Fest and ProgPower Europe. "We're trying to visit some of the countries we don't normally go to, so it's great to have Sweden, Serbia, Spain and Italy on the schedule for this year," commented keyboardist Richard West. The band have not set a timetable for recording more material or made any further announcements about returning vocalist Damian Wilson's role in the band, except that he will continue touring with the band in 2008.

THRESHOLD recently won triple honours at the UK's Classic Rock Society Awards, with Johanne James taking "Best Drummer", Damian Wilson taking "Best Singer" and "Pilot In The Sky Of Dreams" taking the "Best Song" award. A radio edit of the song is now available on THRESHOLD's first ever retrospective entitled "The Ravages Of Time - The Best of Threshold". The two-CD set features a 24-page booklet and over 140 minutes of music from all their studio albums plus some previously unreleased radio edits.
